12th Interdisciplinary Conference on Advances in Rare Diseases
On March 6, we took part in the 12th Interdisciplinary Conference on Advances in Rare Diseases, organized by IBIMA-RARE at the Maternal and Child Hospital of Málaga. This key event brought together professionals from research, healthcare, and patient organizations under a shared motto: “because every person matters.”
LAL-D Patient Organization had the honor of participating in the session dedicated to patient organizations, a fundamental space to highlight the essential role that patient groups play in the comprehensive approach to rare diseases.
Our President, Eduardo López, shared the experience and work of LAL-D Patient Organization, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis, collaboration with healthcare professionals and researchers, and the need to continue working together to improve the quality of life of people affected by LAL-D and their families.
We would like to thank IBIMA-RARE for the opportunity to take part in a conference where science, healthcare, and the social reality of patients move forward hand in hand. We remain committed to ensuring that rare diseases are no longer invisible and that the patient voice is present in all spaces where decisions are made.
